Matt Sechrest is a dedicated conservationist, venture capitalist, and tech entrepreneur. He is the founder and Managing Partner of North Equity, where he is actively invested in over 50 tech startups. Matt previously founded two SaaS companies and one digital holding company, raising over $500M in combined equity. Prior to founding 3 companies, Matt helped found one of the first corporate tech venture funds in E*TRADE Venture Capital, managing over $400M in early stage enterprise tech investments with Softbank and E*TRADE as founding LPs. Matt began his career at Goldman Sachs focused on tech M&A. He is a founding Advisor to leading conservation nonprofit Re:wild, which was launched in 2021 combining more than three decades of conservation impact by Leonardo DiCaprio and Global Wildlife Conservation, where Matt served as Advisor since its founding in 2008. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College.
